This month, we are asking for support for the year to come. Our goal is to raise $10,000! As the year-end approaches, now is the time to give.
Pālehua Conservation Initiative is a young nonprofit, but we grow from deep roots. As we look ahead, knowing what we come from and what the ʻāina has experienced, we believe that restoring Pālehua is an ecological, cultural, and community priority. Revitalizing the forest strengthens watershed health, protects endangered species, restores cultural links, and expands access to nature-based wellbeing for community.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are planning to lean into what we are doing well and expand in areas we see blossoming opportunities. As a nonprofit, starting up during the change in federal leadership has been tough to source funding, but we’ve been lucky to have a state stepping up to support and a community that has heard our call – to experience and volunteer at Pālehua, as well as to donate to support our mission.
Donors who give $500 or more will be invited to a special event at Pālehua.
