Talk Story:
July 5, 10 AM - 1 PM
Join Pālehua Conservation Initiative and author Jane Goodsill for an intimate morning at Ossipoff Cabin. Originally built as Vladimir Ossipoff's personal family retreat, the property was expanded to include Goodsill Cottage — a place set aside for close friends, designed with the same care and intention as the main cabin.
___
Jane Goodsill is a published author, licensed professional counselor, and practiced oral historian. Her first book Voices of Hawaiʻi grew by interviewing those who shaped the islands' destiny, listening with the patience of someone who understands that a life story, told aloud, carries things the written record cannot.
The three-hour tour includes an hour of guided travel up and down the mountain, with two hours for learning about and enjoying the Ossipoff Cabin and Goodsill Cottage. A curated selection of pūpūs and beverages will be provided.
All guests will be able to bring home one signed copy of Voices of Hawaii as included in admission.
Proceeds from tours benefit Pālehua Conservation Initiative, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to advance education and stewardship efforts that protect, promote, and restore the natural, cultural, and community resources of the southern Waiʻanae mountains.
